Testing
Support for industrial innovation and optimisation.
OUR EXPERTISE IN TESTING
As an independent testing laboratory, CETIAT has acquired unique resources and skills, backed up by almost 60 years of experience. This enables the centre to support manufacturers in the long-term optimisation and innovation of their products, systems or processes. CETIAT conducts the experimental qualification of equipment for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, filtration and air diffusion systems intended for use in buildings or industry.
Tests are carried out according to applicable product standards so that manufacturers can obtain:- product certification (NF mark and ECP, AHRI, AMCA and Keymark certifications), essential for certain markets in France, Europe or worldwide,
- CE marking, proof of compliance with European directives,
- proof of compliance with particular specifications.
There are five types of test:
- thermal performance tests,
- measurement of emission levels of gaseous and particulate air pollutants,
- acoustic performance tests,
- fitness for purpose tests,
- operational safety tests.
The majority of these tests are carried out under accreditation according to ISO 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories". This accreditation (whose scope can be consulted at www.cofrac.fr) is issued by COFRAC and attests to the competence of personnel and suitability of resources. It also guarantees the trustworthiness of the test results obtained. As COFRAC is a signatory to the EA MLA (European co-operation for Accreditation Multilateral Agreement) and the ILAC MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement), CETIAT’s ISO 17025 accreditation is recognised by equivalence in all signatory countries to these agreements (about 40 for EA, about 100 for ILAC).
